heat-api software package provides OpenStack orchestration service - ReST API, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install heat-api
heat-api is installed in your system.
Make ensure the heat-api package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep heat-api *
You will get with heat-api package name, version, architecture and description in a table
